| Curiosity got the best of me, so I clicked it.
Wished I hadn't. | |

| oh as a side note:
Ian is being a polar bear for halloween, while his mom got a huge ass puffy wedding dress, died her hair really dark and has a halo and a pair of wings to slap on her back. And apparently, she likes to talk about herself in third person.
Still looking for the fluffy white scarf and tiara. Going as an ice queen to gather candy!!
We were going to do red riding hood (my eldest sister as red, me as the wolf and my pug as her grandma but we got too busy with Ian to make the costumes). We go out every year and the vast majority of the parents that live on our street always dress up when they take their kids out. Such a blast.

| I managed to finish the book "Walking in circles before lying down," by Merrill Markoe. It was a funny fiction read, easy and I would have probably breezed through it faster had I not been breastfeeding at 1am, 3am,5am, 6am and 9 am. During the day, I can't dream of even trying to get a page read here or there. There's just too many things to do.
I started 'Jumper" by Steven Gould and the trailer for the movie just came out. Now that Im only at the begining, I'm more inclined to stop reading the book until the movie comes out. Because the last time I did that, I read the goblet of fire and was SO disappointed in the movie. So I decided to stop reading the HP books until the movies were already out.
Instead, Ive moved onto "Faith". I don't know the author right now because I have child in my lap and going from point A to point B just isn't happening. The book is about a girl that went to jail Im assuming for a crime she didn't commit (the death of her bestfriend). and finds out her bestfriend is alive. its a damn thick book and should take me some time.
Ive been looking for another book. It's called "the blade itself: the first law, book one". A fantasy book but with a a lot of humor in it and its by Joe Abercrombie. The second book is already out and they pulled the first one to redo the cover. Now its 26 bucks canadian, but now that the canadian dollar is more thenthe american dollar, why is it that Im paying the same damn price? bullshit I tell you. so ivebeen waiting for this book for a long time and now that its been reissued, I STILL can't find the damn book anywhere. Its like Chapters just got lame and doesn't keep it in stock, yet Im pretty certain that the world's biggest bookstore has it. I just don't want to go downtown to get it.
This all aside, Ive been hearing/reading a lot on dumbledore being gay and either I think this is a great idea for J.K or she's just trying to stretch the playing field out to a whole other genre and group of people. (just like a celebrity would do when their new movie is coming out, they 'date' their co star to get attention). Maybe she's genuine with her story, that it's what she intended. Though I really think it has to do with the growing popularity of the gay/lesbian genre. Even writer's digest came out with that this month, and at Queens quay park in Toronto, they had a section especially for that genre (at the author's festival). Though its small, the demand for writers there is growing.
And still the quest continues for the approperiate publisher in that genre. I have to get over my writers block for thE novel and put my ass in gear. I think if I can write 2000 words a day (once baby gets sleeping more) then I could have that novel finished by two months and moved onto the next. that must be wishful thinking on my part. haha. 2000 words a day. grand.

Try saying that outloud, five times, really fast.
What a fantastic Character name. Brilliant really.
We got a new phone that says people's name everytime they call, outloud. We've been re-programing the names differently, just so we can have a good laugh everytime they call.

| I thought I wanted to read a smutty book. So I went to the bookstore awhile ago (This was like two weeks ago - of course I went to the bookstore tonight and I'll talk about that in a minute).
Smutt. Erotica, naturally mixed in with the gay section. It can't just be in a discreet corner of the store, nor can it just not attract attention. This section is bang out in the open, so like, trying to be discreet is impossible. Its not like cheesy romance, where every book is the same (girl has to marry boy, hates him, defiant against him, he woos her, she gets in trouble, he saves her, she loves him, happy ending). So its not like I could focus on trying to find a book, because that takes awhile, doesn't it? And most Erotica books/ slash are completely written in crummy first person. I've only found one person to be good at writing in first person and that's Karen Chance (new novelist/fantasy/very different take on vampires - not your typical Ann Rice/Lauren Hamilton).
Side note: Im always for trying new authors, even though I hold my old ones close to my heart. I recently found out Tanith Lee and George R.R. Martin are in the same publishing company. Both authors I love to death and can never resist buying their books. To my dismay, Tanith Lee keeps spitting out short stories slapped into a novel with assorted authors, staring one of my most loathed authors of all time: Mercedes Lackey. I hate this author. I tried reading her once, 'Exile' and found I couldn't finish it. She has thirty books on the shelves at all times and they stare me in the face constantly. Right, anyways, moving on.
So Smutty. Trying to pick out a book as fast as I could, I ended up picking up 'Wolf tales'. It wasn't in first person (which was why I grabbed it), and the writing looked pretty decent. Little did I realise no plot, lots of action. I mean, I should have expected it right? But for some reason, I thought it would come off with more plot. But say, every two pages or not even, would be 'Changing locations" and then the next 30 pages is Smut. needless to say, I ended up putting the book in my bedside drawer and havn't opened it since I bought it. sad. I'll have to finish it, just for the sake of doing so. Its not a bad read, just, unless Im feeling I need something to rev my engine, this just isn't a book you read surrounded by people on the bus.
New picks tonight: 'Jake Reinvented' by Gordon Korman. Easy read, got it in the teens section because I was looking for examples of Angst, but not a thick booming novel.
'A nameless Witch' By A.Lee Martinez. First person, Sounds like a funny book. Very Terry Pratchett-like. Found it in Fantasy section.
'Jumper' By Steven Goulo. Found it in Science Fiction. Easy read. The stupid book cost me $30 bucks and its only 286 pages, hardcover. Ugh. It cost a fortune, but seems like a well written book. Lets see how the story goes.
'Walknig in Circles before lying down' by Merrill Markoe. I can't say I meant to pick this one up. I pretty much had a handful of $100 books by the time I came across this one. It was sitting amongst many others, face up on a table in no particular section. I think its literature/fictionish, but I can't say until I read it.
So I'll give a run down, as soon as I finish these books.

| My eye is doing something weird. Like a grid with a hundred cables flying it all directions. They light up everytime energy passes through them. Its doing this in my left eye, and I'm not sure why. Probably because my brain is about to explode because I'm -still- pregnant.
I called Triage, just to get the low down on if I was coming in tomorrow or not. They didn't know. They don't have the list.

| OH okay.
internet is wonky as hell. Worse then before because now its not always working during the day. How frustrating huh?
So I can get email to barely work, but aside from that, logging into communities and otherwise, trying to get aim to function is a no go. Surprisingly, I can log into my personal journals. Go me!
The doctor appointment went not quite as happy as I was hoping. I got checked again, and told that I am "less then favourable" to deliver a natural birth. There's a very high chance I'll have a C-section. So Im scheduled for being induced Thursday, yet they don't know if I will even get in until next monday or tuesday because I'm an "add on". Meaning that from now until Tuesday, the hospital is booked solid. I won't get in unless someone gives birth, maybe three people. Suckage.
Lets face it. I am deathly afraid of the hospital and even worse, if I have a C-section, I have to have a spinal, which is WORSE for me, because ive already had two spinal taps. I worry aobut these things and have every right to worry. My back is already fucked because they screwed with it twice. Now we're going for number three. Im just hoping to GOD that the baby just comes out before I get hauled into the hospital. Because I dont' think I'll be able to do the C Section. I just don't have the mental preparation for that. Really, I don't.
So come on Natural birth. COME ON DAMNIT.

| I slept. I finally beat my record this month and slept FIVE WHOLE HOURS. Ha! (as opposed to the regular two hours every twelve) I never realized how slow I was with everything. Like how horrible I was feeling, until I woke up and was like *shocked* I slept five hours. I slept FIVE HOURS!!! (and had a rockin awesome dream about Johnny depp - which is so weird).
So. Threads are behind because internet has been HORRIBLE Crazy. Like Ryan and I were just about to give up until his brother came over and saved the day. He did a lot fo drilling into the walls, switched the cords, new jacks. It was ALL internal, like technical from wiring here. And now the internet zips along.
And Im tired again. So much for being so awake. That didn't last. I think I should just go through my RPs and post personals, catch up on old threads (update with a new one - mostly carolyn needs that). Do all the work today.
The last two days, my nephew has been on the computer, doing his assignment. He finally finished late at night. I was so tired, I couldn't be bothered to come online.
